Once you find a licensed song, you download an arrangement file and open it in the Rocksmith Workshop (note that the documentation says "Many songs will have multiple types of arrangement files you can select to download. Choose the version of the song you want to work on and click on it to download" and I'm not % what that means yet). As of Ma, 1, additional songs have been made available as DLC, 1, of which are available to purchase and download from the Rocksmith store.
